JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE - "Suit & Tie" (feat Jay-Z)

After six years, here's the new JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE song - LISTEN

This is the first single off his upcoming album The 20/20 Experience which is slated for later this year.

I've only heard it once and it is a fun track but not at all what I expected.  What do y'all think?

FRESH PRINCE in Paris

The original kings of hip hop

Check out Jay-Z & Kanye's "Ni**as In Paris" to some classic Fresh Prince of Bel-Air clips.

NICKI MINAJ is JAY-Z?

Apparently, her real name should be Nicki MinaJay-Z (sounds exotic) because there's a little Hova in the Harajuku Barbie. No, not in that way, but in the way that when you slow down her songs, she sounds just like S-dot Carter. Check out her song "Super Bass" slowed down.

I don't know about you guys, but I actually like the song better slowed down.

Top Ten: SONGS O' 2011

So the year is almost done, and I don't think any prominent acts are going to release new material so I think it's safe to release a year end countdown review of my favourite songs.

BTW, if you were looking for songs more appropriate for the holidays, you can find my own personal Christmas playlist.

10. "The Years" by ††† (CROSSES)

I'm starting the list with a track from the surprisingly good Batman: Arkham City soundtrack. Apparently used as the Joker's theme, "The Years" by ††† starts with an ominous sounding slow burn but then suddenly explodes into a cacophony that oozes in sex-appeal. You can just picture all hell breaking loose when THE part in the song happens.  ††† is the side band of Deftones front man Chino Moreno.

Top Ten: Rap Songs from New Yorkers

New York City is the most populous city in the USA and the birthplace of hip hop so it’s only natural that some of the greatest and most talented emcees and producers came from their famous five boroughs.  East Coast rap songs generally have a pretty basic form to them: drum machine for the beat; a sample to give the song some depth; and urban poetry full of energy, puns, and wit (hopefully).  Here are ten of my favourite rap songs from artists born in NYC – in no particular order, with only one song per artist.
