MEGA MAN Meets The WIRE

Recently, I just finished watching THE WIRE in its entirety and I must say it really is the best dramatic series in the past 20 years (so says Vulture as well). Now that I've finished watching that work of art, I can say that the MEGA MAN parody cartoon very accurately portrays the show's modern Charles Dickian tone.

Hipster Video Games

From the video game/comic book comedy site Dorkly (part of the CollegeHumor network) comes some platformer humor. Here, Mario is getting no love from Tim, the protagonist of the independent platform game Braid, because the plumber is too mainstream.

RESIDENT EVIL 6 Trailer

I know it's a little late, on account I was without my laptop for about a week now, but I finally got my eyes on the new Resident Evil 6 reveal trailer and yes, it has got me excited. It is scheduled for release on November 20, 2012 and its website is NoHopeLeft.com

Capcom has never done me wrong with their Resident Evil trailers and hopefully, this new game will be like the amazing Resident Evil 4 (one of my favourite games of all time) and a little less like Resident Evil 5 (which was still pretty good). 

Favourite RPG Music

I recently stumbled upon my nostalgia-machine which led me to some of my favourite video game music. Once again, I am blown away with how much feeling and complexity they were able to pump out of those 16-bit cartridges. All of these are from 16-bit/32-bit JRPG era.

Favourite Boss Battle Music:

From Final Fantasy Mystic Quest comes an incredibly high energy, intense, metal sounding theme. FFMQ was designed for North Americans as an 'entry-level' RPG with simplified mechanics and easy-to-follow story line. Even though it is "dumbed-down," it still did not take away from the fun.
